From Custom Paint to Custom Tattoos

Before he ever picked up a tattoo machine, Ryan Townsend spent most of his 20s working alongside his dad at Berserk Custom Paint, a custom paint shop known for its detailed airbrush work on motorcycles, hot rods, helmets, and more. That time in the paint world shaped his eye for composition, detail, and realism. These are skills that he carries directly into the tattoos he creates today.

A Turning Point: Entering the Tattoo World

In 2014, a chance meeting with tattooer Mando Saldana opened the door to a new chapter. After training in California, Ryan earned a spot at Rebel Muse Tattoo in Dallas. For several years, he flew back and forth between California and Texas, fully committed to refining his work and learning everything he could from the artists around him.

The Birth of Eden’s Edge Tattoo

Eventually, Florida became home. Ryan now owns Eden’s Edge Tattoo, a private, appointment-only tattoo studio located in Dunedin. The studio focuses on custom, fine art–inspired tattoos. From bold color pieces to clean black and grey realism, every tattoo is designed to hold up over time. His style blends the precision of airbrushing with the technical demands of tattooing, creating work that is both timeless and built to last.

A Studio Built on Connection

What makes Eden’s Edge truly special is the people. Ryan has built a team of artists he considers not just incredibly talented, but also close friends. The studio feels more like a creative family than a business. It is a space where artists support each other, share ideas, and continue growing together. Devan, the studio manager, plays an essential role in keeping the studio grounded and running smoothly. Her presence brings a strong foundation of care and consistency to the space
